Cortland County residents should know that for options beyond taxis or the regularly scheduled bus routes, First Transit is still offering its Dial-a-Ride services.
This is a curb-to-curb service in which you call First Transit at 607-758-3383 at least one day ahead of time and request the service.
Dial-a-Ride costs $5 in the city of Cortland and $6 outside city bounds.
Driver and bus availability will determine First Transit's ability to perform the trips so call ahead to inquire.
